Maxson J. McDowell PhD, LMSW, LP, has been in private practice as a Jungian analyst in New York City for 30 years. He is a faculty member and past-President of the C. G. Jung Foundation in New York.
Dr. McDowell studied for ten years as a painter in New York with Robert Casper, who studied with Hans Hofmann, a contemporary of Braque and Picasso in the School of Paris.
Previously Dr. McDowell was a tenured college professor in biology and, before that, did experimental research in molecular biology at the University of Otago, Duke University, M.I.T., and the Medical Research Council Laboratories in Cambridge, England.
